The oneness
of the husband and the wife
is a type
of Christ and the Church.
With Christ
having the preeminence over all things
is the
glory between the couple.
Praying and
studying the word in one accord
is the
daily necessity.
Submission
in the wife and love in the husband
is the
basic rule for all daily walk.
Mutual
honoring and care
is the
expression of love.
Respect for
each other’s kinfolks
is the duty
that brings blessings.
“Thank you”
and “I’m sorry”
are words
that ought to frequent the mouths.
Letting
down on courtesy because of familiarity
is the
beginning of discord.
The first
occurrence of discord
is an
opening for Satan’s intrusion.
Speaking to
others the shortcomings of your partner
provides
further opportunity for Satan’s malice.
Counting
your partner’s shortcomings
and
dwelling on your own virtues
are an
invitation to Satan’s suggestions.
Never allow
yourself to be the other’s cross
while
remembering that the other is always your cross
is the
secret of victory.
